Placing an office unit on a floating platform

We used a truck-mounted crane to place an office unit on a floating pontoon at the Green Village of TU Delft!

We received this assignment from Blue21. They are the world leader in designing, developing technologies, and implementing floating projects. Blue21 has played an important role in the design, engineering, and realization of iconic floating projects.

Although the unit was small and weighed no more than 1600 kg, it needed to be lifted over a distance of more than 20 meters. To overcome this challenge, we started the project by drafting a lifting plan. The unit was successfully placed on the platform in the water using a truck-mounted crane with a lifting capacity of 135 tons/meter with JIB.
